Wrightway was established in 1999. The company commenced writing a book of motor business which included both Commercial and Private Motor. We expanded into other niche areas of business over a period of time, always with a proviso that we had a particular expertise in-house which could be focused on the disipline involved. Our aim is to provide an acceptable return on capital while providing efficient delivery of service.
Since inception our product range has expanded and we have concluded negotiations with two new capital providers recently for roll out of new products in the last quarter of 2007.
Our claims department has also gained a reputation for quality of service. We have substantial claims settling authority from our capital providers. We provide a full suite of services up to and including High Court settlement negotiations.
Investment in technology has been a key feature in our growth strategy and we were the first company in Ireland to bring Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) to the Irish market, our investment in these areas has been substantial and ongoing.
Originally the company was part of the Wright Group until September 2007, when the agency was acquired by Zurich Financial Services Group. The business has continued as before with the original management remaining and the company continues to operate as an independent entity using a number of capital providers. The new owners have committed to a substantial investment program which will underpin the company's current position as the largest underwriting agency in Ireland.
